MATERIAL MODELLING

Final Submission:

The original house resides in Allawah, near Hurstville. It is the third and top level in a unit, where one side of the balcony faces the road and other faces the boundary between the next unit. Below is the entrance into the building which is lined with large trees. The two sides show a juxtaposition of natural surroundings and an open uninterrupted view. My idea was to highlight the nature surrounding the space in a way which encompasses it. This led to growing a tree inside the room and allowing the canopy to cover a new terrace, similar to the idea of a tree-house. The overhead balcony is created to enhance the experience of nature. Hence, the collage depicts the images of space amongst the canopy of a tree.
